About Welfit Oddy
Design, manufacture and sale of tank containers, bulk liquid shipping containers and transport containers.
Welfit Oddy (Pty) Ltd has been a manufacturer of transport related equipment for more than 100 years. Initially as a wholly owned subsidiary of a family-owned and run South African based group, and since January 2000 as a part of the Buhold Industries group (Formally Burg Industries) which itself is a family-owned group based in The Netherlands.
In the mid-1980’s the company entered the intermodal tank container market and quickly grew to become a global leader, for both the design and manufacture of tank containers.
Our production facility, with an output of 30 tank containers per day in various configurations, is situated in the city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
We have a wide and diverse range of products which have been developed through a sound understanding of tank container transportation requirements, a drive to reduce M&R costs and through working in partnership with customers on product specific or service specific projects.
We are also always interested to look at special projects, which over the years have resulted in us developing and building 10ft tanks, 30ft tanks and even non-round high volume tanks.

We are continually looking for ways to develop new products, accessories and industry solutions to allow our customers to not only improve their current markets but to expand into new and previously out of reach markets.
